I wonder....

Oh Come All Ye Faithful Joyful and triumphant,
Oh come ye, Oh come ye to Bethlehem.
Come and behold Him,Born the King of Angels
Oh come, let us adore Him,Oh come, let us adore Him,
Oh come, let us adore Him,Christ the Lord.

Oh Sing, choirs of angels,Sing in exultation,
Sing all that hear in heaven God's holy word.
Give to our Father glory in the Highest;
Oh come, let us adore Him,Oh come, let us adore Him,
Oh come, let us adore Him,Christ the Lord.

All Hail Lord, we greet Thee,Born this happy morning,
Oh Jesus for evermore be Thy name adored.
Word of the Father, now in flesh appearing;
Oh come, let us adore Him,Oh come, let us adore Him,
Oh come, let us adore Him,Christ the Lord.

This song is familiar to all I am sure. But this Christmas, music has seem to hit me in a way that it never has before. Christmas music that is. I csn Imagine the angels in Heaven, think of the stir that came on when God presented the plan that He was sending his to earth. Do you think there may have been a stir?? But when it was done, was there 9 months of waiting? Or was He in heaven the whole time? I wonder if they had to wait to see him, maybe that is why the angels were so excited in their singing and proclaiming the new baby Jesus? Who knows, but this song makes me want to shout to the mountains proclaiming Jesus as my Lord.
Can you imagin going to the stable??? I mean we always picture a clean stable with bright hay, maybe a damp smell in the air. And just a few animals, possibly a cow and of course a donkey and possibly some sheep. And don't you picture Jesus all wrapped cuddly warm in a white cloth? But quite possibly it was not quite so "Picture perfect" as crude as that what me may think. I mean the stable was most possibly a cave and think of some of the stench!!! And the wet hay. Also she wrapped swaddling clothes, could that have been extra material she had brought with her?? Or did she find the clothes in the stable? Do you think Mary knew that her time would come in Bethlehem? Maybe she had some clothes that she had made for him. I don't know, but the King of all the ages was there lying in a manger. Can you imagine how precious the face of Jesus was? A new baby just minutes old, cuddled in the arms of Mary. Now I don't have children yet, so I can only imagine the feeling that courses thru a mother when she first lays eyes on her newborn child, but think of Mary... SHE KNEW WHO THIS BABY WAS!! Just the thought of starring into the eyes of JESUS, a helpless baby.
I really need to stop. Just some thoughts. What do you think, what do you wonder about when it comes to the Christmas story?? Leave me a note and tell me. (PS> Brenda hope you don't mind I borrowed your picture. Thanks.)
