God is watching over you!!!!

Times like today...make me greatful that I am a child of God, and that I have an Heavenly Father watching out for me. As alot of you know I am a court runner for a law firm downtown. I walk to the city county building everyday. Well I was getting ready to cross at a cross walk...it was blinking red but still showed I had 13 or 15 secs or so. So I knew I had plenty of time to get to the other side. As I was walking I saw a big van waiting to turn onto my road. I assumed that it was waiting on the pedestrians to cross. All the sudden I saw it coming very fast RIGHT AT ME!!!! I was so scared that I couldn't hardly think. I started walking very fast sideways because I didn't think if I walked forward that I could get out of its way. The van slammed on its breaks. when it got stopped I could have reached my arms out straight and touched the grill. NEEDLESS to say I was very shook up. The guy did stop his Direct Tv van and get out to see if he had hit me. He seemed pretty shook up. But he made me feel like I was in the wrong. He kept saying "the cross walk was red...and I had the right to go. You came out of nowhere." I was shaking so bad I could hardly talk. I wanted to scream at him....Yeah a BLINKING RED LIGHT WITH NUMBERS COUNTING DOWN MEANS I STILL HAVE A RIGHT OF WAY!!!!!! But I didn't say anything, other than when he asked if I was ok. I told him, "yes, my heart is just beating really fast." I am sure I scared him too, I would have freaked him out even more if he knew I was pregnant but I didn't feel the need to share that info. As I walked away I started crying and thanking God for his complete and total protection on me and my baby. It took many more time of me breaking down and crying for me to get over it. (all theses hormones) And I still am a little rattled. But boy am I glad that I have a great big God watching out for me.

I just re-read my comment and realized I said "you mom" instead of "your mom". I am so new to blogging that I don't know how to get back in and change comments.....so you have 2 from me today.
