Happy Birthday to a special little boy

I would like to make a special post to a little boy who a Year ago Friday...made his way into Jon and I's lives. On Dec 19, 2007 after a scary evening with your mommy and daddy, you came mid morning into this world. Jonathan Keith Jr. after your daddy. I remember wishing it wasn't Wednesday night, because I wanted to see you that night...but due to getting off work late and then church. Visiting hours in the "Nic Unit" were over. So thankfully I had that Thursday off...and after a stop at Starbucks for mommy's special drink I hurried my way to the hospital to see you. Later that day or the next Jonathan made his way to see you. It was hard seeing you hooked up to some of those tubes and machines. But you were a strong little guy. And about 3 weeks later you finally got to come home. One of your first outings was to OUR HOUSE!!! Boy we had fun!! I am suprised between me and Lizzie that you don't see constant flashes before your eyes with all the pictures we took of you.
Buddy, it has been fun watching you grow and I can't believe your 1!!!! You have taught me alot about babies. And now that I am going to be a mommy myself I am glad for the lessons I have learned from you. I hope you and my little one are friends....but if it's a girl YOU BETTER NOT BREAK HER HEART!!!!
We Love you...and here is a special Photo Blog just for you.

Hilligoss Extended Family Christmas 2008

Grandma and Grandpa Hilligoss
Grandpa singing "Little Boy in the Carpenter Shop"
This song has been a tradition for the Hilligoss family for years. I think they used to sing it as a family back in the day. It was a bit hard this year because....with the news of grandpa's cancer and the future of Grandpa being with us next year is unclear and some what shaky. Grandma started weeping as Grandpa sat there with his eyes closed singing away about the little boy who started in a carpenter shop only to be nailed to a cross....then descend into hell and take the keys of death...then go on to on to the Gates and splendor of Heaven. I think all of us were enjoying and savoring the moment of that song, some with tears and others just breathing in each moment knowing that it may never be the same.

Sampling of family pictures...more to come

A little Gift from God

My family is a blessing

A new addition on the way!

Just the 2 of us...or is it the 3 of us to be completely correct????

Here is just a sampling of our pictures. I have plenty more to post...and Maddie's dedication service too. (my computer is not wanting to load them for now, probably a hint that I need to go to bed!!!)
This weekend is going to be busy...we have a b-day party for baby Johnny's 1st, and My dad's side of the family is having Christmas Saturday evening. (Just a note please pray for my Grandpa. He has just been diagnosed with Stage 4 cancer in his lungs and cancer in his liver. They have given him 3-6 months to live. He has refused Chemo...since it is only a comfort measure but they are doing radiation to shrink a mass in his lungs to make breathing more comfortable.) Then my Christmas program for our Jr. Church is Sunday. (also pray for that...so I won't stress out on the kids. I have some rowdy ones and I hope they behave. I am nervous and I am anxious, but the kids are doing well. But with this pregnancy I am tending to be a little more "bite your head off" And I don't want to do that. I am sure I will be fine. I am actually very excited about it. The hardest part are going to be getting them all in costumes and keeping them calm. But I have some good help so things will be fine.)
