Madelynn Grayce is here!!

Madelynn Grace Hilligoss (or Maddie for short) was born September 29, 2008 @ 1:46 in Noblesville,In . She weighed in at 6 lbs 6.5 oz and is 18 in long. Mommy and her are doing well other then being very tire. Tasha had a rough evening after being induced and things didn't go as well as they thought. But after so rounds with her blood pressure she pulled thru ok. And was just in hard pushing labor for 1 1/2 hours. (but had been in some sort of labor since 7:30 the night before) Thankfully everything turned out ok and baby Maddie graced our world.

Two very happy aunts!!!
A sleeping princess
The very happy (but tired) family. Tasha was still on some meds that made her quite groggy. But she felt quite good other than being tired. I am quite proud of my brother. Mom said he was a GREAT coach....and Tasha was a trooper.
BIG FEET....takes after Daddy!!!

She ate pretty well and actually burped well too. She finished almost the entire bottle...the nurse seemed suprised when she came in.

Baby Jonny meets Maddie (they are cousins) He was so cute at first...but later he pulled her hat off. Looks like he is going to be a stinker to her. No really, he just kept staring at her and then looking up at the adults unsure of what to think of everything.

We love you baby Maddie....and hope you grow up to be healthy and strong. I also hope and pray the you learn early that Jesus can be your very best friend. He will always be there for you. I trust that you pattern your life after what Jesus would want for you. And Hang in there, I am going to bring you a play mate here soon.
Love,
Aunt Nella
XOXO

SOON TO ARRIVE~~~~Madelynn Grayce

Tonight at around 6:30, Justin and Tasha will take there last ride alone as a young married couple. They will enter the hospital.....and many hours later (I am sure Tasha is hopeing not to many hours) Madelynn Grayce will have discovered America!!!

We are so excited....and I am waiting anxiously to be able to clock out of work Monday and head to Noblesville and see the precious little bundle. I even have more excitement now that I have my own little blessing growing inside me. It is amazing to me how something so small can let you know very well that it is there. Thank God I am not standing around the "Great Procelin Throne" , But I think every ocean in the world is inside me. No, its not that bad, but at least one Ocean, but it is so worth it. I am so excited, and trying to take in every moment. At this time I think the baby looks a little like a rat!! Hope it takes after its Father...(did I just say that???)

Back to Justin and Tasha....I will bring news and pictures as soon as this "auntie" can. Keep them in your prayers today.

Blessed!!!!!!

In the last few short days Jonathan and I have found out that God has really let his blessings shine on us. We feel very unworthy, but are excited beyond words with the blessing He has given us.

Yep!!! Around the end of May we are going to have a baby. I can't express how excited I am. And Jonathan is too!!!

GOD IS SO GOOD!!!!!

Jonny comes for a visit

Jonathan and Caroline came over Sunday night and we had a great time. Baby Jonny is getting so big. He is learning to crawl and he will try and imitate you. He is a very good natured baby although he is starting to get his own personality. He loves to clap and smile.
Jonny gets a new view on life!!!
Meatballs!!!!! YUM, YUM!!!!!
A new love....SHOES!!!
Look Nella I am "trying to crawl" (what a happy baby.)

Corn butter?

Saw my nephew Devan and Bro-in-law Steve at Grandma Thompson's. We enjoyed a wonderful meal. Devan looked so cute and so grown up. He was not so thrilled at getting his picture taken, but with pushing from daddy we made it thru. Let's just say This is the better of his "fake" smiles. Actually it is really cute....but then agian that is the aunt coming out in me.

Kids are cute. Sitting with the younger ones across the table from me today was so funny. Donovan (it would be like Devan's 3rd cousine, I think) is 10 and was putting some butter on his bread. And Devan was like..."That's "corn butter", Jonathan looked at him and said "WHAT?" Devan said, "well that's the butter you always put on corn and the cob...so it's corn butter." I just had to laugh. So my spray butter will always be thought of as "Corn butter"

Getting everything updated

Ok I know better late than never.....but Tasha's baby shower was Aug 29. She got a lot of nice things and she was so excited to be getting totaly ready for baby Madelynn Grayce.
(for those that care an update on Tasha...she is dialated to 2 and is 80% efaced. Madelynn is weighing 5 1/2 lbs. She went into labor a week ago but they got it stopped by giving her a shot. As of now she is not having any heavy contractions....and the due date is still Oct 10, but we will see if shse makes it. Just keep praying for the healthy delivery of baby Madelynn and for Tasha to stay well too.)

A scrapbook for baby Madelynn from Aunt Nella and Uncle Jon
A special gift from Sis.Dahler
Every girl needs her shopping money!!! :)

Cousin Jonny with Grandma Shepherd
She's a beauty queen already!!
Saturday Aug 30.....Jonathan had gotten a invitation to a sneak peak dinner at Red Robin.
FOR FREE!!!!! We went with Steve and boy I think it was one of the best meals we have ate....everything taste better when it's free. Each one was given a certain part of the menu that they could order off of. Ours was the hamburgers. Plus anything that they brought us from the "bar" in form of ice cream or specialty drinks. (non-alcholic) were free too!!!

Cindy our great waitress
A FREE BlueBerry Milkshake
Steve was a little excited about our "dreamsicle milkshake" ( not really I was the only one that really liked it.) This was the 3rd of our drinks. Our first (missed getting a picture) was a root beer float. Funny thing...when the waitress offered. Jonathan kind of stammered around and then said "no...no thank you" Steve was like "Are you nuts...yes we will take it!! Steve and I were laughing...because we knew Jon had just heard the word...BEER.....and thought it was an actual alcholic. We just had to laugh.
Burger time. We actually all got Turkey burgers they were soo good. We walked out of there so full!!! But we had so much fun. And our waitress was the best....the boys had so much fun with her.

Aug 31....Last Sunday's of the month, at our church, is Youth night. We had Phil and Jenn come and give us a concert. They brought Jananne who joined them in singing on the last song "The Church Triumphant" The Lord really settled down and people were shouting the Praises to God. Then we had a great time of fellowship afterwards.

Phil doing one of the things he does best. Aside from being such a dear friend to Jon and I ...and marrying one of the bestest friends I have ever had, in just a few short weeks, he is also 2nd in my fav's of piano players. (My aunt would have to take top notch.)

GOOD BYE BRANSON

Our vacation came to an end on Saturday (Sep 6), we were both sad. It had been one of my favorite and most relaxing vacations since my honeymoon. This is crazy but almost every afternoon we came back to the motel and took about a half-hour nap!!!! Are we old or what???

We also made good use out of the pool! It was NOT HEATED and very cold...but I guess we could be thankful for our "modest appearl" when it came to swimming. (LOL) We had it to ourselves all but the last time when 2 older men and an older lady got in. So I stayed in for a while longer and Jonathan went and worked out in the exercise room.

After checking out we went shopping a little more.
we found some good deals here.

And more shopping!!!!!

MY handsome HUBBY!!!

GOOD BYE BRANSON.
(Just so you know...we ended up having to put a new fuel pump in our other car....but hey at least it broke down on us in Indiana and not in Branson.)

Friday Vacation

Water ride day at silver dollar city. (even though we only did one water ride) We rode several of the other rides again too.

On a side note: I don't really like my skirt that I have on. But I needed something light to wear. I found Wind pant style capri pants for $1 a piece. So I bought 2 paris unsewed them and made a skirt out of them. One big trouble was they were about 2 sizes to big....but with the draw string i could pull it tighter. It did make it a little uncomfortable because they were to big...and it looked a little bunched. But Jon said it didn't look to bad. And it dried SOOOO fast.(I think next time I will let my mom walk me thru it...I was ready to throw my sewing machine thru the window!!!!)

The big rocking chair.....Whoohoo I feel skinny!

Our big wet ride...The American plunge. ( I remember this ride as a kid)

There she goes

I got pretty wet because Jonathan ducked!!! That little stinker!

One of our favorite eating places....Dana's Burger and BBQ (or something like that)

I got BBQ Chicken Nachos. Jon got a combo plate with chicken and sausage. He couldn't eat all of it so we took the chicken to the motel.

BRANSON LANDING....Friday night we went shopping. It was a little like those Open air Malls Like Metropolis or Clay Terris. Plus it was by some waterfront. Which was SOOOO relaxing!

OUR BIG VACATION PURCHASE!!!!!!
Just kidding...although Jonathan would be thrilled if we could afford something like this. Maybe one day, but he did ask to have his picture by it.
A very squinty but relaxed and in love couple!!!!
There was a golf cart parked outside one of the stores and Jonathan snuck and sat down in it and said "Quick take my Picture" He is so funny! Just like a big kid!

Our dinner....kind of like a Denny's in a way. They had a small buffet with some big meats on it but it was $10 and we were not that hungry. So I got a club sandwich and I forget what Jon got. The service was very southern and wonderful.
DRUMROLL please>>>>>>>>>>THE GRAND TIE BREAKER PUTT-PUTT ROUND!!!!
She shoots and scores!!!>>>>>>>>
HE SHOOTS AND SCORES>>>>>>>>36 holes later we were still at a tie.
And good natured as we are we left it that way!!!!
World largest Banjo. I just had to give it a pluck!!!

Our favorite treat on vacation!!! We had several coupons for it so, with it being Jon's favorite treat....plus most days we only ate 1 big meal...we indulged.

Jonathan loves his ice cream
HE REALLY LOVES HIS ICE CREAM.
(almost more than my mom does....and my mom REALLY loves ice cream.)
SHOULD I BE JEALOUS of the new love?????
